English as a Second Language

An estimated one in seven people who reside in the United States is from another nation, and millions of these immigrants have limited English proficiency. You can make a difference in the lives of immigrants right here in Baton Rouge—whether they are professionals, students or refugees. Each week, we have 70+ individuals from all over the world stepping into our church building to have a basic need met. Many of which have either never been in a church, or do not regularly attend any other church service. The nations are quite literally coming to us.

In the fall of 2022, we were blessed to see God move in the lives of 7 students that followed through on baptism. Please pray that we will continue to see lives changed and needs met.

A common misconception is that you need to be able to speak another language to teach English - when in reality you only need to be able to speak English! Our classes only meet once a week on Wednesday nights 5:30-7:45 but there are ways to participate throughout the week.

What our ministry needs is individuals that are willing, compassionate, and have a desire to see lives changed by the power of the Gospel. Has God burdened your heart for the nations?
